Would you rather buy a PS3 and a Wii or a XBOX 360, XBOX 360 HD-DVD DRIVE and a Wii?
The PS3 costs 0 or 0 with a blu-ray drive a XBOX 360 cost 0 or 0 without HD-DVD, plus the core has no harddrive, The HD-DVD drive costs 0 , the wii costs 0 so if you get a PS3 0 you get a bigger harddrive plus blu ray already. with wii that costs 0 you get a XBOX 360 0 plus HD-DVD drive plus wii it costs you 50 with 40 gigs less of harddrive space. do the rest of the math with the lower end consoles it will cost even more to buy all the addons you need also XBOX 360 has no HDMI and it can’t either. What will you need in the future for HDCP if it comes about HDMI what gives you better picture HDMI, Blu- ray gets 1080p Xbox 360 gets 1080i and mostly 720p
so if you choose what will you choose Wii and XBOX 360 or Wii and PS3?

I’d get PS3 and Wii. 360 is slightly inferior to PS3 and like you mentioned doesn’t come with the HD drive. There will be little difference in graphics quality for the 2 initially (lots of ports) but few years from now PS3′s supreme power will start to show. Look at original PS2 games and the ones today.
Wii I’d get just for fun. It’s relatively cheap but other then the new controller not much better than GC.
If you can’t afford 2 consoles go with Sony – in my opinion they’re are the future.

360 is full of mistakjes and has a massive failure rate. Mandatory system update downloads are also known to freeze up systems, making $540 doorstops. $540 you ask, thats becauase the system costs 400 and the repair costs microsoft makes you pay are $140.
PS3 comes out a year after the 360, so it has had time to test, test, and see the mistakes the 360 made.
Wii is also a interesting little system, but a different beast compared to the other two.
Dang, you confused me with all of that. I’m not really sure what I’d buy if I had the money to spend. Probably all three so I could decide which one is best.
I would recommend you go to a store and or a friends house and try them out to decide which you like best. Good luck on finding the one you like.
360 with HD-drive, and the Wii. Because of the violence over the Ps3, not to mention the lack of units and problems with it, they won’t last long. Not to mention lack of launch titles. Only exclusive was resistance. 360 has alot of games to offer and the hd drive. They will do well this year. Wii shipped more then Ps3, and very few problems. Overall, tie between the 360 and wii. I personally would like a wii.
