Nintendo Wii Console and the Gaming Experience
The fame gained by video games resulted to more inventions including gaming consoles and other gadgets. Large companies have their own developer to design their products, both the gaming console and the games. Among them arise Nintendo WII which is known as one of the marvelous gaming consoles. Just the same as XBOX 360, Nintendo WII offers a thrilling experience of high-tech gaming.
Wii is pronounced as the pronoun ”we” and it is probably the reason why this gaming console targets a bigger market compared to XBOX 360 and PS3. Wii is intentionally spelled with two lower cases ”i” to represent two people standing side by side which also resembles players gathered together. The targeted broader demographic contributed to Wii’s higher worldwide sales. People become dramatically inclined with Wii because of the unique and marvelous features.

It can also detect movement in three dimensions. The reason behind this is the built-in accelerometer and infrared detection. The last but not the least is called ”Virtual console” which makes the gaming experience more remarkable.
It is also nice to note that Wii has expandable memory. You may use an SD card to expand the built-in 512MB flash memory that comes with it. Its storage capacity can be expanded up to 2GB. With that size, it can already store several number of games and can even download more through the internet. Furthermore, the entire console only weighs 1.2KG so it is really light-weight.
More of Wii’s notable advantages are hassle-free gaming, multiplayer feature, can be hand-carried, and easy to use. Even new players can learn the gaming system easily and enjoy using it as time passes by. Both left and right handed players can make the most out of it.
Nintendo Wii can also do things simultaneously. It is possible to play exciting games while listening to your favorite songs. Aside from the gaming purpose, it can also be used for transferring files, playing audio and video files, and downloading of games over the internet.
Wii users can also use the gaming console in connecting to other devices such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 and LAN Adaptor. Being as elegant as XBOX, this device becomes really popular due to public demand and excellent features. Each game play upon this console is ensured to be extremely thrilling and satisfactory. The IBM PowerPC-based ”Broadway” Central Processing Unit makes the gaming process faster and extra smooth.
