A Negative Review Of Nintendo Wii
First of all, if I were to compare the graphics of Nintendo Wii to the other gaming systems, particularly the Playstation 3, it is a disaster. I am quite sure that for the other gaming enthusiasts and avid fans of ultra vivid presentation of games who might be expecting some sharp, and crispy pixel images from Nintendo Wii, they are in for a big disappointment.
Yet, bad, dull and less-than-sharp graphics seem to be just the beginning of a bad gaming dream. Many gamers and loyal followers of Nintendo have waited for the arrival of its so-called newest gaming console pride, if only to feel shortchanged by the Wii’s many obvious shortcomings.
You will also have this feeling that somehow the gaming system seems manufactured like an incomplete package. Nintendo has promised to deliver some very exciting high technology features that are yet to be done, and would you believe that its software is still not capable of providing some back up for the previously played games that you saved.
Another obvious flaw of the Nintendo is the use by the gaming system of infrared, with the help of sensor bars, as main connection to the game’s controller units. The receiver should be placed on top of the TV or just in front of it. The problem is the long wiring that makes the controller work messes up the area and adds to the inconvenience of the players.
I have heard of gamers and players of all shapes and sizes who are one in saying how uncomfortable they are with the Nintendo wrist straps. And I am certainly one of them who would say that playing the game provides you somehow with the fear that one wrong move involving the wrist straps will send the controller out of control and crashing into the television screen.
And another thing, Nintendo Wii has no wired controllers, which means one less controlling option. Also, if you are a gamer who loves to play when traveling and think you might also have the experience with Nintendo Wii, then this might be impossible, since the Nintendo utilizes infrared receiver, which is semi-permanent in nature.
Like other game consoles, the Nintendo Wii has parental control systems. But is it apparent that the controls are not as high-tech and sophisticated as those that can be found in Playstation 3. Another major flaw is that the parental controls of Nintendo are not capable of restricting the games of GameCube, as might be expected by advanced gamers.
And while Nintendo supports GameCube games, the GameCube emulator is separate from Nintendo itself, since GameCube controllers are useless devices for Nintendo games, and the parental control are not compatible with them.
