how to play music with Wii Fit?

i have some MP3s on an SD card and it's in the Wii, but when i do the running for Wii Fit, there is supposed to be my music playing, and it hasn't worked yet? What am i doing wrong? Has anyone tried this before and got it to work? How do you do it?

I know that if you have music on your SD and pics, then go to the pics channel, it can play your music, but i am talking about with the Wii FIt – just to clarify.
