What do I need to get to put music on an SD card? What SD cards are compatible with the WII and DSI ? How do i know if my home computer has an SD card slot? If it does not, what devices can i use otherwise?

I don’t know anything about Wii or DSI, but I know lots about SD cards… here are your options…
Most computers don’t have SD card slots, unless they’re very new and particular to photography. The slot will fit an SD card perfectly, if you don’t know what it looks like, it’s about an inch wide and not even a centimeter thick.
Compatibility? Any SD card should work, the name brand is really the only thing that matters… Kingston is always a good brand, 2G would be ideal for music, maybe 4G.
You would have to buy a Slap Drive. It plugs into your usb, and the SD card sticks right in it. it’s about the size of a USB stick.
Or, you can buy a multi-card reader (for SD cards and other camera cards) which had a USB plug attached to it.
So, once you have your SD card attached by USB somehow, it should automatically pop up on your desktop, or, if not, find it under "My Computer". Open it up, and simply drag your music files (from itunes or My Music or whatever,) into this opened folder.
Hope this helps!
Pretty sure any card is compatible with the dsi and wii. i don’t think ANY computers have sd card slots. you need to buy an sd card reader/writer. you can get one on ebay for less than $5
Personally, I use a Lexar 2GB SD card for my Wii and DSi. Now, from what I know, the Wii can’t play music, I have one, and I have found no way to do so. However, with the Wii, the innovative Photo Channel allows you to view Photos from your Computer (Or from your camera, if it stores it’s photos on an SD card) on your Wii, as well as doodle on them, and several other fun stuff.
The DSi is very similar. It too has a Photo Channel, or, the camera option, which also allows you to put images from your SD card onto your DSi, vise versa. In order to put music on the DSi, you must use AAC files – to get those, import the MP3 you want to put on your DSi into iTunes, right click on the imported MP3 and choose "Convert Selection to AAC". You can copy and paste that onto your SD card and use the Music Player on your DSi to play you’re music.
Wii’s and DSi’s read the SD card if they’re "FAT" SD cards. FAT SD cards are usually the default for SD Cards, so you probably shouldn’t have to worry about that. Most Desktops from what I know don’t have an SD card reader. If you’re using a laptop, theres a good chance you do have an SD card reader. Look for the slot on your laptop (if you have one) that says "SD". Put your card in there. If you do have a desktop, do the same thing. If you don’t, you may need a printer. Most printers have an SD card reader. If you don’t have an SD Card reader on you’re Laptop/Desktop/Printer, you’ll probably have to buy an SD Card reader. Heres one that will prove most beneficial.
