The Wii can play AAC formatted music files with the Photo Channel 1.1 during slide shows... but that's it. If you have an older Wii, you can play MP3's with Photo Channel 1.0 If you're SERIOUSLY wanting to play multimedia files with your Wii, you'll have to install the Homebrew Channel to do so. WARNING: THE HOMEBREW CHANNEL IS AN UNOFFICIAL AND UNSUPPORTED CHANNEL! INSTALLING THIS CHANNEL WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY!!! Altho I did watch on Youtube this guy actually play a DVD on his Wii and it worked perfectly. Im not kidding you should go and check it out. But other than that, it cannot play music mp3's. It sucks really. If you want I am giving you an idea to get a 360. The 360 can do all of this and more, its better than the Wii and I have both.
