I have a game cube but I am going to get a WII can I just use the same games or do I have to get all new games? Is there a diffrence.

I have Sims animals for wii, and I've gotten through most of the game(75%), with every stage unlocked. But I don't have some animals and I'm having trouble with some of the goals and challenges. I'm wondering i anyone knows of any cheats? Or any good tips and tricks?
